1、 Demand analysis

The electric power through (self closing) line erected along the railway line is an important part of the electrified railway. The railway erection environment is complex and the terrain is changeable. The through line mostly adopts the mixed mode of overhead lines and cables. Due to the exposure of overhead lines and the aging of cable line equipment, failures are inevitable during the operation. Once failures occur, the railway signaling devices will not operate normally, thus affecting the normal transportation of the railway. Therefore, when a fault occurs, you should master the fault information as soon as possible and eliminate the fault.

At present, as there is no mature fault monitoring and management system for the railway through line, our company has developed a set of through line fault monitoring and management system that can directly display the line status and fault conditions, which is of great significance to improve the reliability of railway operation.


2、 Working principle

The fault traveling wave is transmitted from the fault point to both ends of the line in the form of electromagnetic wave through the air medium between the railway catenary and the earth. The basic principle of non-contact traveling wave is to use special antenna sensor to receive electromagnetic wave signals, so as to realize non-contact acquisition of voltage and current fault traveling wave of railway catenary. The distributed multi terminal ranging algorithm is used to calculate the location of the fault point. The ranging accuracy can reach within 100 meters. The tower level fault location can be achieved. The device has no electrical connection with the line and can be installed and maintained live.


3、 Product features

(1) Basic configuration of intelligent fault detection system: main control unit, non-contact fault location monitoring unit, communication unit, solar power supply unit, mounting bracket and auxiliary materials.

(2) The non-contact intelligent fault detection system for railway power through line is applicable to the first level railway power through line and railway power integrated through line, and fully supports the application of overhead/cable/hybrid line types.

(3) Convenient installation: the detection device (terminal) is non-contact design, self powered, 4G communication transmission with the main station, no electrical connection with the power line, and no power cut is required for installation or maintenance.

(4) Wide application environment: applicable to different types of overhead lines, cable lines, overhead cable hybrid lines, and complex line structures such as T connection.

(5) High ranging accuracy and accurate positioning: It is the first in China to adopt non-contact distributed multi segment ranging principle products, and the comprehensive application of a variety of advanced technologies recognized by experts, with ranging accuracy up to 100 meters.

(6) Fault type identification: through distributed collection and multi waveform comprehensive analysis, identify lightning strike fault and non lightning strike fault, fault and instantaneous flashover fault caused by tree branches and birds, and give early warning for lightning strike area.

(7) Real time geographic information of main station fault: high-precision real-time release of geographic information map of fault occurrence, and visual display of fault location.

(8) Super capacity cloud service center master station: users can share data from computer clients, mobile phones or tablets through the master station data push without installing master station software.

(9) Technology, positioning: distributed multi terminal ranging algorithm, space voltage and current traveling wave broadband detection technology, dynamic wave speed adaptive technology, multi acquisition point redundant ranging technology

(10) The data is complete and the functions are powerful: the man-machine interface of account management is intuitive and friendly, the geographical location distribution map is displayed in real time, the fault query and retrieval of the management area/line is convenient, the analysis of multiple waveform diagrams is comprehensive and detailed, and the analysis of fault types such as lightning strike, non lightning disturbance, etc.
